The service dates for each conflict are as follows:
Veteran Qualifications:
At this time, we are accepting applications from WWII, Korean, and Vietnam veterans as well as terminally ill veterans of any conflict. Once your completed application is received, we will review, and you will be placed in the queue for one of our upcoming flights. You will be paired with a Guardian throughout the day.
If a medical need requires that a family member (not a spouse or significant other), aged 18–75 and in good health, serve as your guardian, please include their contact information on the application. That family member must also complete a Guardian Application for consideration.

- WWII : December 7, 1941 – December 31, 1946
- Korean War: June 27, 1950 – January 31, 1955
- Vietnam War: February 28, 1961 – May 7, 1975

Guardian Qualifications:
- Be between the ages of 18-75 years old. (Individuals over 75 who apply are subject to individual review.)
- Be intellectually, physically and emotionally capable of caring for their veteran
- Be capable to participate in a demanding day. Pushing a wheelchair, lift wheelchairs in and out of the bus cargo area, extensive walking, various weather conditions (hot/cold, wet, sunny), able to lift about 100 pounds. We walk over 6 miles in the day!
- Must not be a spouse or significant other.
- Attend the MANDATORY Guardian Training session prior to flight day.
- Pay the $600 Guardian fee. (Please note the Guardian fee covers only a portion of the actual expenses of the Guardian so Sponsors are critical to Honor Flight).
